London: A MRS Hinch fan has revealed she uses mouthwash to soak the dead skin off her feet. The woman took to the We Love Mrs. Hinch Facebook group to share the beauty hack, claiming Listerine Cool Mint mouthwash left her feet as soft as a baby’s skin.

“House all scrubbed now time for a foot treat”, she wrote on the group, alongside an image of her feet soaking in a washing up bowl filled with the blue solution. And other members of the group were divided, with some completely baffled at the idea.

One wrote: “How do people come up with these things?

“Who thought, ‘I wonder what would happen if I soaked my feet in mouthwash?'” While another said: “Listerine, how does that work then?” Others claimed they had tried the beauty hack, but were left with “blue feet”.

One tagged their friend and wrote: “Remember when you did this and your feet went green?!” While another admitted they had given it a go, and theirs went blue.

“Never again,” she wrote. Another posted a witty snap of their own feet soaking in mouthwash, captioned: “Does it work with Oral B?”

But some backed up the woman’s claims, with one member of the group saying her auntie swears by the handy trick. “She’s an air hostess… it cools her feet after long flights,” they wrote.

Another user – who is a beauty therapist – wrote: “When doing pedicures we have a brand that does menthol/mint products such as foot scrub and masks and I can tell you now they are the best I’ve ever used.

“The mint really refreshes your feet leaving a cooling tingling sensation. “Clients love it and it smells just like mouth wash… don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.”

Later on in the conversation, the original poster weighed into the comments to defend her choice of foot treatment. “It’s amazing, leaves feet like a baby’s,” she wrote.
